I am assuming a barrel swap somewhere along the way during its journey. The X suffix supposedly means 20ga 2 3/4”. anyone know where I might be able to find a replacement barrel? Can someone shed light on the receiver serial number? It is in really good shape but does not have a date code on the barrel and the serial number has prefix and suffix lettering. It has the white line and diamond grip cap. Although the gun does have checkered forend/grip, ivory style diamond cap, and fluer de lie style engraving, which I had heard wasn’t introduced until 1970 on the 1100’s. 410 2 1/2' or 3' shells, ventilated rib, high polished blueing, enhanced engraving, gloss wood. The P places date of gun around 1967 most likely or 1995 but assuming due to condition most likely 1967. Not sure why the stamping is so poor quality (see pic). Barrel stamping number is A P L 17 or A D L 17. Was hoping someone here could lend their expertise.
